Musical Collaborations with cellist Claire Fitch

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, both Claire Fitch and I were getting acquainted with home studio techniques and the rapidly growing scene around VST synths, effects and samplers. We crossed paths on an audio forum and finished two tracks together that still make me smile when I hear them.

Claire isn’t a dabbler like me. She’s been a serious professional musician for a long time as a cellist in the National Symphony Orchestra (of Ireland), the Irish Film Orchestra and the Orchestra of Saint Cecelia. She made several fantastic albums featuring both her sound design skills and electric cello which are available from the Magnatune label. Currently, she’s scoring work for games and other media outlets.

“Magic Frog” (2007)

“Lamentation” (2008)
